The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

Ever since I was 6 years old, my two dreams were to one day attend Penn State University and to become a nurse just like my mother and grandmother. In May 1991, I graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. My dreams were fulfilled! I have so many fond memories of Penn State and 2 lasting friendships from Penn State which have carried over into my life 18 years later! I am still a "die-hard" Penn Stater and Nittany Lion fan, even as I turn 40 years old in November 2009. My connection to Penn State is still strong through giving donations to the School of Nursing during annual fund drives, wearing of Penn State clothing to show off my pride, and I am on the board of directors for the Alle-Kiski Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association. Since my days at Penn State University, I am recently divorced and living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Presently, I work at UPMC St. Margaret Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, as a registered nurse/primary care coordinator on a 34-bed medical unit. I have been with UPMC for 5 years now. Though much has changed within the health care field over the years and through today, nursing is still very rewarding for me both professionally and personally. I owe it all to Penn State!!
